Program Overview

CAPCA (Child Protection and Community Advocacy) is our flagship program focusing on the rights and welfare of children in our communities. We work to protect children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and all forms of violence.

Our Objectives

  • Protect children from all forms of abuse, violence, and exploitation
  • Advocate for children's rights at community and policy levels
  • Support vulnerable children including orphans and child-headed families
  • Strengthen community-based child protection mechanisms
  • Provide psychosocial support to affected children
  • Reduce school dropout rates among vulnerable children

Key Activities

Child Rights Awareness

We conduct community sensitization programs to raise awareness about children's rights and the importance of protecting children. This includes training parents, teachers, and community leaders on child protection.

Case Management

We identify and respond to cases of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Our team works with local authorities and community structures to ensure children receive the protection and support they need.

Support for Orphans

We provide comprehensive support to orphans including educational assistance, psychosocial support, and material support to ensure they can thrive despite the loss of their parents.

Child-Headed Families Support

For families where children have taken on adult responsibilities, we provide specialized support including household items, food support, and guidance to help them cope with their situation.

School Support Program

We support vulnerable children to access and stay in school by providing school fees, uniforms, and learning materials. We also work with schools to create a supportive environment for vulnerable children.

Community Engagement

We believe that child protection is a community responsibility. We work with:

  • Local councils and community leaders
  • Schools and educational institutions
  • Religious institutions
