Caritas K-MD has always served the most vulnerable in society and will continue to do so as to complement SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4 and 10. We focus on reaching out to the poor of the poor, vulnerable groups, and those that society has generally discarded.
Who We Serve
Our programs specifically target vulnerable and marginalized groups including:
Orphans
Providing support, education, and care for children who have lost their parents.
People with Disabilities
Ensuring inclusion and support for persons with disabilities through assistive devices and programs.
Single Mothers
Empowering single mothers with skills training and support to provide for their families.
Child-Headed Families
Supporting families where children have taken on adult responsibilities.
The Elderly
Caring for older persons who may be isolated or without family support.
Widows
Providing support and empowerment for widows in our communities.
Our Interventions
Wheelchair Distribution
Through our "Wheels of Change" program, we provide donated wheelchairs to people with disabilities, improving their mobility and quality of life.
Economic Empowerment
We support vulnerable groups, particularly women, in starting small businesses through training and micro-finance support.
Education Support
We provide educational support to orphans and vulnerable children to ensure they have access to schooling and can build a better future.
Child Protection
Through our CAPCA program, we work to protect children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
